PCOS

Residency at FACTS, Artistic Director Shuyuan Li teaches the Monkey King
  • Programs are designed to suite the audience both for education and entertainment. They range from short programs with a solo performer to 2-3 hours long ensemble performances with supertitle projections in both English and Chinese.
  • Residency activities include individual and group workshops/demonstrations on all aspects of Beijing Opera; PCOS offers a full range of Chinese Opera performing arts classes, including singing, dance, music, martial arts weapon play, costume making, make-up arts, and face painting. Classes are suitable for children and adults.
  • Core programs include: Chinatown’s Annual Mid-Autumn Festival; Annual East Coast Chinese Opera Gala; performances at community Chinese New Year Celebrations.
